Yeah and when you are done with that, can you strain the gold leaf out of a case of Goldschläger for me? You can drink what's left over. " there is currently less than a tenth of a gram (0.1 g) of gold flakes in a 750 ml bottle"
Gold got some legs again today... Current PMs: GOLD:$ 1,137.70/oz. - Low: $1,128.40 / High: $1,140 SILVER:$ 17.69/oz. - Low: $17.45 / High: $17.71 PLATINUM:$ 1,464/oz. - Low: $1,446 / High: $1,467 PALLADIUM:$ 379/oz. - Low: $366 / High: $382
Yeah it's been making a good rebound since the start of the week. Coincidentally Bernanke is named person of the year from Time Magazine.
Both the Nobel Peace Prize and Time Magazine have just made themselves irrelevant for the forceeable future...
The President being awarded the peace prize was very embarrassing. He may aspire to it but it was too soon and a huge stretch to justify. Really, there are so many other hard working and deserving individuals for these prizes.
Right, and I don't want to turn this into a political thread cause it will get locked in no time. But aren't you suppose to get awards for achievement, not just promises. And he IS a politician....augh...anyways.... The NPP I think just lowered their credibility. Now, I hope the next person to get awarded, turns it down!! I'm not sure if that has ever happened before...but boy, I would love to see that...
seriously that would be great! just a few words saying that would speak volumes to those ppl that voted to give that award away this year. I would assume anyone in the fields that are usually looked at as nominees lost their job with the economy of the world so they gave it to someone that is employed. you guys think that the dip might have been caused by that award and now ppl have possibly forgot it? I know Gold can be controlled by mere opinions so you think this is one of them? I wonder if the gold train will get back up to the all time high and level out or would just shatter that and keep climbing. Any relevent data out that concerning gold's possible futures?
Currently (after Fed announced the key rates hold): GOLD:$ 1,135.00/oz. - Low: $1,128.40 / High: $1,142.10
Newbie question here. Does it matter if my investment in AGE's are 2009, 2010, 2011 etc etc, if I am not interested in the numismatic side of coin collecting? When I sell, does it matter if I tell them I have a mix of 2009's with 2010's or do I have to separate them? All my coins I bought uncirculated, so should I mention that as well? *(obviously I'm speaking way into the future when 2010 AGE's are out)* TIA!
That they are! Sales figures/mintages are too high for unc. AGEs to be anything else but bullion with a premium over other similar bullion products (krugs, maples, aus phils...), even though with no '09 Proof AGEs from the Mint for collectors, the '09s may be being bought more by collectors this year who may be looking to fill empty holes in their collections for this year. They're still bullion and lots of them were produced.
Thanks guys. I'm a simple man, I like to keep things as simple as possible. When I have to start tracking what's worth what because of what year, it gives me a headache.
The trouble with gold is, it's gold and it's in real short supply and difficult (to say the least,) to make more of it. The trouble with Dollars are, they're paper and there's nothing scare about them. Sure if your unemployed you wouldn't say that, but what I meant was, if you're the Government you can just have a debate and go print off a few billion more. The money men obviously don't like Gold, because they can't make billions of dollars of (quick) "profits" with gold. But they can make billions of dollars of "profit" with (paper) dollars. Not surprising they like dollars then - especially whilst they can buy big houses and all the bling they want, with paper. They and their Central Bank friends have been doing their utmost to Crush Gold (over the last 50 years, inparticular.) They have tried to decimate it's price and in the case of some countries even made it illegal to own at times! Not surprising really, the powers that be said "Gold standard no more" and ever since there has been sustained Establishment intervention to run the yellow metal right out of town! Only not everyone is obeying the State's will. Shame on all Goldbugs?
Have you managed to sell those yet? Also, it is to be noted that those are "W" issue unc AGEs and a PR Platinum Eagle.
