Good morning, Given the low mintage, chances of getting an order for just regular collectors like myself for these 2021 Morgan and Peace dollars is nil to none. Would going to an authorized dealer the same day each series is released and preordering make any difference than waiting until October delivery price wise?
IF the price is right but don't expect the dealer to be selling them anything near the release prices.
What do you mean low mintage? They have a product limit but there is no mintage limit. They can mint as many of these as they want. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/my-thoughts-on-the-morgan-2021-silver-dollar.379098/
I suspect price in his head is already set even if I do preorder from him. I would just like to lock in a decent price if popularity due to 100th year increases the value unexpectedly. Bad luck for him and good luck for me. Of course the opposite could also occur but I tend to think not given history. It was a beautiful design back then and it still is imo only. Thanks Potty Dollar.
Will go for one morgan and one peace. If I can get a 2021 peace or morgan on the aftermarket for a good price (Probably $60 or less) I'll make it my pocket piece. If any of yall end up with a damaged 2021 morgan/peace and don't mind selling it for less than you got it hmu.
It's not that low of a mintage. I think it will sell out, but not in 5 or 10 minutes, maybe in an hour or so. I'm not a buyer and perhaps I eat my words in the long haul but I'd rather have a Morgan or a peace dollar from the original series. My opinion it's a novelty and a marketing bone the mint tossed to their distributors. I'll pass on this just like I passed on the Krista McKauliff dollar. Same thing in my opinion.
