Hello every one! Does anybody have any info on these 1 gram rhodium "eagle" bullion coins? I believe they are minted at the cohen mint. CLAW
One source is http://www.elementsales.com/ecoins_desc.htm#pp, 5.3 grams for $660. One gram for $120 at http://www.rhodiumcoin.com/, I believe this is the Cohen Mint product. Complaints about slow delivery at http://www.goldismoney.info/forums/showthread.php?t=406231. Selling for healthy prices on eBay. Apparently making them is quite the technical challenge.
My opinion says don't even mess with them.. Really.. Who needs to waste their money on rhodium when there are much cheaper or expensive (but nicer) metals out there like silver or platinum. I'd take a pass on that. I saw on last night on ebay for $699. Ouch! Can get a nice ounce of Palladium with that kinda dough.
I purchased two at $89 each when the Cohen Mint first put them on sale. I paid via PayPal and after waiting 30 days w/ no response I started a claim. The day before the PayPal claim was to end, I received a USPS DC tracking number and received the coins via priority a few days later. I still have the two and I bought them more for the "interesting" value and not as bullion. But if they keep going up - my two grams are gone...
