Sorry to learn of your browser problem I use chrome w/o difficulty at that site. I copied/pasted the article here then removed it because of the possibility of someone reporting a copyright violation.
I'm concerned about security on these sites. It'll be years before we get over the Solar Winds hack. I'm wearing my trade show solar winds tshirt as I type this.
Well there is plenty to learn, but blockchain uses a server side and a client and a calculated hash encryption which at the moment is essentially unhackable... This requires at least a very basic knowledge of some things (sorry that's about as vague as I can be lol!)...but this is one of the better explanations I've seen about the crypto blockchain encryption methodology...
Yes...there is a risk for non-established crypto to go belly up just like a stock. But what happened with that hack was not a blockchain hack...it was a wallet/app hack. Remember that you can essentially take and store your wallet/crypto offline by writing down your series of passwords and storing them physically in a safe deposit box, etc...
Speaking of Elon...I bought a nice pile of DOGE coin at a few cents each, as of today they are .54 cents each
Where did you buy the DODGE coins? Can you store different coins in the same wallet? I really need to take a crash course in cryptocurrency technology. Did you post about BLOK and BCNxx.? I can no longer find the BCN... symbol. Thanks.
Yes you can store multiple crypto coins in one wallet. Technically if you register with Binance that's your wallet... Bitcoin is BTC. I bought my DOGE in Binance. I don't have millions of dollars of coins so I just keep it in Binance as my crypto bank/wallet...but I also use MetaMask, another wallet to move coins and also accept payment for things (like the NFT coins I sell)...although I can use Binance for that too technically. NFT is yet a whole other discussion lol! Non Fungible Tokens... items that can live on the blockchain as digital files, like images and 3D files, and music...
Well...it was a few thousands coins bought for a few pennies each...that few thousand coins are now 57 cents each...sooooo Basically just like buying a penny stock...
You've been extremely helpful and I really appreciate it. Someone (you?) posted two stock symbols BLOK and BCNxx(?). I don't remember the full symbol for BCN. Both are highly rated by morningstar. Do you know the correct symbol for BCNxx? For now, I opened an acct at Coinbase. I'll do an electronic transfer to it from my bank and buy ETH. Eventually, I move everything to my ROTH acct. Quora has an active crypto forum and I assume reddit does too. I need to learn a lot more. As for NFTs - too far out in left field for me right now.
One of the reasons I chose coinbase is because they have the lowest commission for the kind of trading I'll be doing w/ crypto. A Complete List of Cryptocurrency Exchange Hacks Thru July 2020 https://blog.idex.io/all-posts/a-complete-list-of-cryptocurrency-exchange-hacks-updated/#2020
Elon Musk is going to be on Saturday nite live so allot of dodge coin is going up, but watch out for the land side after it airs, atleast that with allot of analyst are saying, I guess will have to wait and see.
ETC (etherium classic) is up 300% on the week. People are buying/speculating on the cheaper cryptos. Hard to know where to put your money right now.
just dropped another $500 in to either, that technology is really taking off ! I think it can get just as big as BTC if not bigger, and this is really starting at the bottom floor so the possible gains can be huge !
I do whenever I remember that the app is on my phone - and I feel like sitting through one of their mandatory adverts My real mining is a rig I have running against ezil, dual mining both ETH & Ziliqa. I have high hopes for that small cap crypto. For investment I've dropped a chunk of change over the past couple of years into x-cash - started mining it in 2018 and am now staking after they switched their blockchain off of mining and onto voting/staking. *crossed fingers* I've done well so far, but with crypto it can be rich today, poor tomorrow.
Ether is in my sights, and has been for the past few months as I still believe it to be pretty virgin compared to BTC which has already enjoyed so much success, so being in second in the crypto world the potential for growth is off the charts !
