Has this happened before? I wonder what that will do for the ebay sales?!?! (Some lots on ebay where already going for above APMEX delivered cost.)
charlienorth - I'm not going to post a link because I don't want to get busted for self promotion, but APMEX is not out of Krugerrands. We have secured nearly 500 of the 1 oz. coins, and they will be in our hands and ready to ship at the end of next week. We also have plenty of fractional Krugerrands.
Do you post threads like this when milk and cookies run out at the grocery store? Sounds like the local news gloom-and-doom report when a snow storm is in the forecast and they start broadcasting images of empty store shelves. No they are not out enough to query this topic as though its an issue worth deep discussion. Supply varies from moment to moment. They have their reasons for this as much as supply can or cannot be offered from one day to the next. If you need something to eat now, you go to another grocer to get your foodstuffs or wait for the next delivery to buy your gold from the accommodating folks at Apmex, who generally offer you an Alert when that stock returns.:hammer:
I guess when the web page said you where out I thought that meant you where out. lol Sorry for asking a newbie question. I don't have your vast experience. I seriously wondered if this happens often. I'm enjoying watching gold & silver go crazy. Thank you for your considerate reply.
It's funny because I saw the box from APMEX and I thought it was the PM's that I ordered, and I was ready to complain because the UPS guy didn't knock on my door and get my signature, as there is no way I ever want my PM's just sitting by the door.... Then as soon as I opened it, I saw the popcorn can so I was relieved... The Xmas card by the way is BEAUTIFUL. Top notch high quality. One of the best cards I've ever seen....
krispycream must be having a bad hair day to say the least. krispycream must be having a bad hair day to say the least. He/she or it blasted me twice this am and now this. Easy krispycritter it will all work out alright just take your medicine and let it work, down boy, down! We'll be watching very closley from now on so COOL it!!!!
BHP: I think you have your wires crossed up here... Not sure what the heck you're referring to but it appears you are still not 'happy' as you stated in the other thread on 2009 ASE cancelations and are still looking for a spat. You'll have to get over your hating ways, grudges and negativity to truly be a happy camper not just a poo-stirrer.:hammer:
There was a discussion few threads back about APMEX being too expensive in shipping fees and also charging very high fee for using credit cards. I searched but could not find those posts. I would like to purchase a 2009 bullion AGE using my credit card. Could some one please refer me to that thread and also suggest where to purchase at a reasonable/reliable bullion dealer. Thanks! Al
This coming from someone who panics and posts when a piece of bullion isn't available for a day. You got your re-assurances of their stock yesterday, and from the source at that! Why you want to stir the poo too now is beyond me.
I posted the above message but probably got unnoticed with all the other discussions going on. Please respond, if any one has some information. Thanks!
alhas – I’m sure there is another thread discussion about this, but let me try to sum it up very simply. We understand your concerns about getting a good value when you purchase precious metals. Many times people assume that the best value is based on price alone – which is not always the case. I’m sure you can find a bunch of eBay buyers to vouch for this, not to mention some other well known dealers. Example: If you need brakes on your car, you could go to mechanic A and pay $99.99, get no guarantee and it takes a week for them to do the work and then once it is completed, you still have a squeal… or you can go to mechanic B and pay 149.99, get a satisfaction guarantee and have the car back in 2 hours with no squeals. Which one of these mechanics did a better job? When you need your brakes ( i.e. – a kid runs out in front of you chasing a ball, who’s brake job do you trust more? So which would you choose – my guess is that the extra $50 in this case was well spent… right? The $50 saved you time, gave you a guarantee of satisfaction, was not irritating and ensured you that you would be able to depend on your brakes when you really needed them. At APMEX, we never claimed to be the cheapest. We do claim, however, to deliver one of the best VALUES for your precious metals purchases. In delivering good VALUE, we strive for the best possible balance between Price, Selection, Security, Service and Guaranteed Satisfaction. Because we focus on the whole picture, have a wide selection of high quality products, deliver exactly what you purchase from us, when we say we will deliver it and do all we can to ensure a smooth transaction and a fast, easy, secure place to place your orders 24/7, our customers tend to love us – in fact they have given us a 98% Satisfaction Rating and continue to confirm this rating with us through countless testimonials and feedback surveys. In addition, APMEX has one of the lowest, if not THE lowest, minimum order amounts in the industry – at only $50. Some other dealers have minimums of $1,500 -$50,000. We also have a number of other options for payment, including credit cards. In fact, we provide a “cash discount” for payment by check, bank wire or money order. And although our shipping and insurance is not necessarily the cheapest, it is fast, secure and reliable.
