I got an older silver half dollar today, which to me looks like it's been cleaned.I didn't ask before and the dealer accepts returns.I am waiting on an answer from him now,via email about whether it had or not.I wanted to have it graded but it looks hopeless at this point. It just don't mean a thing,if it don't got that swing. And they know it.

Send 'er back. Explain to the seller that there's no way it can be graded by a TPG, and that's a deal breaker for you.

If they have a return policy, send that sucker back! say it didnt look right to you, or it looks fake, or you wanted a pink coin, it does not matter just send it back. :p

Send it back. Unless you are an expert at grading [and at least better than the dealer] and have the coin in hand, if you want a slabbed coin, buy it slabbed. The chances are slim that a dealer will sell you a high-grade problem-free coin for a bargain price.
