Anyone have Cayón?

    If you do, would you be so kind as to post a photo of a sestertius of Lucilla with the IVNONI LVCINAE reverse type, p. 253, no. 18? Thank you so much!

    It supposedly shows Lucilla's hairstyle b, according to the classification in MIR. I think @ancient coin hunter's example has the same hairdo, but I'm not sure.

    Mine is hairstyle c:

    Rome, AD 163-164.
    Obv: LVCILLAE AVG ANTONINI AVG F, bust of Lucilla, draped, right.
    Rev: IVNONI LVCINAE S C, Juno, seated left on throne, holding flower on extended right hand and swaddled infant in left hand.
    Refs: RIC 1747; BMCRE 1154-1160; Cohen 37; RCV 5504; MIR 9.

    Obverse: LVCILLA AVG ANTONINI AVG F; Draped bust right.

    Reverse: IVNONI LVCINAE; Juno seated left, holding infant and flower // SC

    I have thought for a long time that a nice idea for a coffee table book would be photographing modern models with ancient hairstyles, with an overwiew of the haircut trends from republic to the fall of the empire. Now I know which numismatist should be consulted too.
