My choice would be the Hungary Dinar. My mother in law recently moved here (permanently) from Hungary (Debrecen), and I think she would appreciate it.

Either that, or use it to give to @Jaelus if I ever get him as a Secret Santa recipient. ;)

    Hey, JMM- belated reply-

You’re an automatic winner. PM your address to me and I’ll send you a pair of my elongated cents (one Indian, one Wheat). Free samples. ;)

If you win the drawing later, we can talk about the silver elongates (Barber/Merc dimes), plus one of my obsolete LordM wooden dollars and any other stray exonumia like that which might be lying around here. Just got a cool encased Wheat cent in a consignment lot I’ve been working up (which is where a lot of my new inventory will be coming from once I catch up).

thanks to al the generosity from lordM and all those who have participated in these giveaways. And more so for all the knowledge and information shared.

if I were to win, I wouldn’t know what to do. I’ve recently discovered a fascination with ancient coinage. I love history and love to speculate how, where and when the coinage was used. Lots to learn, yet.

on the other hand, I have an empty 7070 album that I’ve been reluctant to fill in fear that it’ll never be complete. So maybe I’d start that and use my credit to fill a hole. Capped bust half or 2c piece.

thanks again everyone, keep fighting the good fight.

I would put it towards the 1917 Standing Liberty Quarter. Love the look of that coin!

If I won the Giveaway, I'd spend it on
United States: copper-nickel Flying Eagle cent, 1857

If I Won the Giveaway, firstly I'd be in shock because I never win at lotteries or chance contests. I would likely pick the Ben Franklin Half because that's the first coin I remember craving when my mom took me to the Knight Coin and Stamp store in Hobart, Indiana back in 1976. I recognized Ben Franklin from my history book but had never seen him on a coin. Got it for my birthday, along with some Whitman coin press books, and I was hooked for life. btw. Arthur Knight still runs that store today. He's a midwest icon who instilled a passion for philatelics and numismatics in hundreds if not thousands of kids over the decades. If you ever drive through northern Indiana, he's worth the good story you'll hear from him.

A lot of our past winners in these drawings have said that before the random number generator smiled upon them. If you think about it, most of these monthly running LordM contests will generate maybe 100-150 replies by the end, and when the drawing is done at the end, all of the conversational (non-entry) replies and all of my replies get skipped. So if I were to speculate, I’d imagine there’s maybe a 1-5 percent chance of a win for any given contestant.

Which ain’t huge, but it’s a heckuva lot better than your odds at Powerball lotto, right? ;)

Best of luck to you, @Davide Ivaldi.

I liked your reply, so this post (#74) is an extra chance (bonus entry) in the drawing for you. If the random number generator hits #73 or 74, you’ve won.

Entry post. I’m torn between the flying eagle or the 2 cent piece to go along side the 3 cent piece that I just recently picked up. They’re all beautiful coins and that makes decision making very hard to do! lol. And thanks again as always for your awesome contests!

Entry post. If I win I will have a date with one of those five lovely ladies of the Walking Liberty fame. Might just use the credit to help offset the cost of dating all five of them permanently.

Entry Post. I think I'd spend the extra and go for the Hawaiian Dime. I owned one back in the 1960s, but sold it when I was in college. I have regretted it ever since.
