I feel like I am in a cartoon. Basically I am in the sky, free falling. And while I am falling I am screaming like crazy. Then I stop and I look around for a moment and then continue screaming... still falling. That is how this market is making me feel right now.

It's funny, I waited all year for a West Point collectible and now I am back in wait mode hoping the 2010's will see the light of day. It never really dawned on me until this year but slowly parcelling out my coin budget into various Mint products really did occupy a lot of my time -- what with waiting, drooling over, saving up and then finally pulling the trigger at various points in the year between ASE, AGE and AGB. This year it was a one shot deal.

It's kind of like a ride at Disneyland. Hours and hours to wait, ninety seconds to ride.

in order to buy cheaper gold coins. some spouse gold is selling at below mint current price at some dealers. you have to buy it from the dealers. you have to clear all remains spouse gold inventories from them. not much. check ampex and golden eagle.

seven weekly report from the mint before this year ended. my estimation for 2009w buffalo gold proof is around 50,000. while the bullion one ounce should be around 200,000.

    compare to previous issues:
    bullion unc:
    2006 - 337,012
    2007 - 136,503
    2008 - 189,500
    2009 - 200,000 estimate

    proof:
    2006w - 246,267
    2007w -- 58,998
    2008w -- 19,591
    2009w -- 50,000 estimate

okay, so I gotta say im really impressed! NGC has been verifying the quality control on my 09 buffalo for 48 hours now.
You may ask, but Chip.... how could that be when you submitted your coin express which should only take 48 hours total. Its just the level of quality control NGC is devoted to!

HAHA Nice! I hope to have some Buffalo's to send into NGC soon, but alas they are still "in stock and reserved"... :(

My Buffalo's need to hurry up and get seperated from the herd already!

I almost hope they get delayed so the early release will be extra rare :p

Gotta love this.....I ordered 1 buffalo and 1 territory FDC together....of course the buffs are on hold, but the Mint mailed out the FDC. Normally, they send this through the Postal service, but since I ordered it along with the buffalo they up graded it to over night priority service. Now I have to sign for a $14 item, but they will probably leave the $1300 item on my doorstep. :headbang:

Krispy....if you don't mint not having the mint box that comes with the coin, ModernCoinMint is selling a NGC PR69UC for $1380. That $20 above original mint issue price!!!

Thanks. I've been checking out this site since you mentioned it in a thread a couple weeks back. I was a little hesitant to place any orders with them since gold had been rising and many items of theirs are not yet in stock and the prices are estimates which may go up or down when they actually have them in hand, so I was trying to hold out and hope gold backed down so I could get one from the Mint a bit later this month. keeping my options open for sure.
