These dates are numerology as exploited by marketers for commercialist opportunities: thus we see Tim Burton's new animated film "9" released today as well as The Beatles: Remastered (14 remastered albums on 16 CDs and a DVD) released today on 09/09/09... recall the 'White Album' experimental collage track, "Revolution 9". And the US Mint certainly isn't immune to this style of marketing given the 8-8-08 Double Prosperity set last year.

Apple is also releasing iTunes 9 today, free download on the Apple.com site today. It's not on the site yet, but probably will be up after Jobs and crew finishes the presentation.
