The Israel Coins & Medals Corp (www.israelmint.com) has just announced the First Israeli bullion coin issue in their most recent catalogue. These new 1oz. pure gold and pure silver "Kabbalah Medals" will be introduced soon. I e-mailed the Israeli Mint front office for additional information and an English press release. I will post it when received.

I don't think Israel ever specifically sold "bullion coins" in the past. Many coins are traded at approximate spot prices though just based on their content. Any other thoughts. Thanks for the response Paddy54.

Hopefully these become scarcer as people begin to melt Israeli Gold and Silver for their bullion content. With such low mintages...we will see what happens to availability.

Seems like many countries are trying to get "into the act".

I looked at their website and the stuff there is more "ornamental/commemorative?", not bullion. I would be interested to see what they have to offer.

The linked site makes me wish I took hebrew when I had the chance in school, but I have the 25th aniversiury coin. it is on the 1958 tab on the linked site. Its a cool story I bought it for my brother as a crad holder before he went to vegas this summer for the world series. Do these catch a premium? because I think I know where to get more of them.
