Ive learned that i have a $1 bill that should not had ever print. Less than 250,000 Made... The original bill of this serial number is still out there somewhere. Mistakenly , this was created and wasnt needed. I wish i could find the regular note. The big question :: Do you have any idea if it is worth any thing , and if so , how do i get Promoted to sale. Where could i sale it. Thanks to all !!!
Hello and Welcome ! Right now "as is" it values at $1 . Besides being a common Star Note , it doesn't exemplfy any unusual denominational rarity . Example would be things like very low number , radar note , repeater note, or any other kind of oddity .
It's a star or replacement note worth one dollar. Now if you find the other star note with the exact same serial number...
The BEP goofed and allowed the same serial numbers to be used at the DC facility and the Fort Worth facility. The only difference between the notes is the front plate number. The Fort Worth printed notes have a FW prefix on the plate number and the DC printed notes just have the plate number. Karol at this email address (kwinograd@snet.net) is keeping a spreadsheet of people who have sent in serial numbers from the "duplicated" notes. I believe there have been 10 notes paired up. Send in your serial number an see if yours can be paired up with a note that matches one someone else sent in.
I believe you have misinterpreted the information. It is simply a replacement note, denoted by the * star at the end of the serial number. That means the note that it replaced was destroyed. If it is one of the notes with a duplicate serial number, which I doubt it is because this is a *star* replacement note, then more research on your part is necessary. Value, in that condition, a dollar, maybe a little more to a collector of star notes. Good luck.
Thanks to you all. Mountain man , Im aware its a star note but the duplicate star note didnt replace the original note. Instead it was used as well. Not as a replacement. This means that this star note shouldnt have been made
