Great idea for a game. My guess: Cucumbor. Is 'intuition' a valid reason? Language, language, language. Because I'm late: a coin from the same place, almost 400 years later.
I will guess @Cucumbor since from what I remember, he is not a collector who strictly keeps to a certain collecting area/niche; even though he is primarily a Roman collector, he will probably want something different every now and again. Reminds me of how I am as a collector; even though I’m mainly into Roman, Greek, and Byzantine, I’ll occasionally get an urge to pick up something different, like an Islamic or medieval coin. Also, when I first saw the coin photos, they reminded me of his other photos. I must confess that I’ve secretly been a 9 (soon to be 10) year-old Quaker parrot this whole time, one who loves (to grab and play with) ancient coins, so I fulfill the YN rule Here’s a denomination you don’t often see among Ptolemaic coins: the didrachm. Lol. At the very least you get the extra chance for cracking me up. I’m happy to see so many folks participate. I’ll post the next round here in about an hour so there is still time to slide in a guess if anyone reading this hasn’t done so already.
Round 2 is officially up and running so this thread is now closed to further guesses. If you missed the chance to vote in this round don't let that stop you from playing along with the game! Each new round is a chance to win so you can still get in on the fun in Round 2 linked below. Coin #2 - Guess the CTer 2021
