btw guys when i lived in va i found a few dimes with cents.

One question I have is why all the interest in the 09 cents and dimes.

 

A lot of stupid people on ebay that think they are rare.

 

I went through about 15 rolls of dimes to find a 2008-P I needed for the Whitman. I found one silver...a 1961-D.

 

Only to use as trades. For some reason, I run across these all the time.

I actually got a 2007 the other day, but I can't tell if it's a P or D because of some post mint damage to the obverse of the coin. Other than the mint mark, the coin is pretty shiny.

 

It looks real to me

 

Searched 2 rolls of dimes - Zip
Seached 4 rolls of cents - Zip
Searched 4 rolls of Nickels - a 1942 and these two coins: a 1955 Cinco Centavos from Mexico and 1980 5 cent piece from Nederlanden

Anyone know anything about them? Fun finds regardless

the first is Mexican, the second the Netherlands.

 

I just searched 50 rolls of dimes within the past week and found one 1963 silver dime, an MTA bus token three Canadian dimes, and a coin from Aruba about the same size as a dime only thicker. I was most thrilled with the 1963 silver dime, but the other finds were interesting as well

 

got three nickels circulated rolls and search them. i found 10 jefferson 2006-2008. of course without 2009. found 9 westward nickels. 7 old nickels ranging from 1947 - 1962. the rest were dated 1963 to 2003. remark. very disappointed.

 

Went through a box of pennies and found the following
1 1947 and 1958 Canadian penny
5 Log cabin pennies
1 1927D
2 1942
2 1941
1 1958D
1 1956D
1 1950D

 

On monday i opened 20 rolls of cents found 2 cabin cents (p). 10 wheats including this 1927d

I searched a box of half dollars today. Found 2 franklins, 2 '64 kennedys and nine 40%ers! :thumb:

NICE finds Half Dollar. Man, I have 7 boxes in a row without a single silver coin. However, I stopped at a bank on the way home and asked for half dollars and they only had 7 of them. And in that $3.50 was one 68 40%er in fine condition.

I also got another 2009 p dime from vending today....

 

after 6 dry boxes of half dollars, I finally found some silver!!!!
5 x 40%ers, 2 x 90%ers, 1957 & 1963 Frankies.

Hopefully tomorrow boxes will have some silver

Also, was able to get an additional 12 Ikes from the bank. I just missed a gentleman that wanted to trade in his red seal 2's. The teller said he had a stack of them and wanted to know how much the bank would give him for them.... If I was just 10 minutes earlier He was trying to get more than face value from the bank.
