Gold dips under $1,800 for the first time in months

looks like the 2020-2021 gold rush has come to an end but silver remains much more stronger still.

 

I saw that drop this morning. At one point it had dropped $47.00 over yesterday's close...... Crazy stuff.

 

Perhaps the Wall Street Bets folks are raising funds for their Super Bowl Ad...

As they used to say in a neighborhood I used to live in a long, long time ago. Ain't no thang, jelly bang!

 

They've never really had anything to do with the PM market. Even with GME there were a lot more people involved than just them including a lot of big money and wallstreet people

 

My store almost sold out of silver over the week-end. Looking to restock.

 

It goes up. It goes down. That's the market for pm's.

 

Let them both drop . . .

But we cant control the market . Its a guessing game unless your been doing this for decades in knowing at whats what . . .

 

Would it be wise to sell Gold and buy Silver ?

The GSR is near neutral, so the relationship could go either way. I just threw that out there to stir up the anti-GSR folks.

 

The GSR is near half what it was last year. While gold is going lower silver has held its position in the mid-20's pretty decently. It hasn't been in the teens since July.

 

Bounce today to $1,815

 

1800 is still not a really great price for buying Gold. Who knows when it will hit 2000 a 2nd time. I should have gotten some at low 1000's.

 

BARRON'S reports that the Chinese central bank is buying gold, but they are notorious laggards in reporting their purchases/sales.

 

Closed the week at $1,824. No man’s land for buying and selling.

 

Sell one volatile PM to buy another one in the hopes that you correctly market-timed them both ?

I'd rather keep both and just add more to the one you like.
