I’m not sure if this coin is damaged but it weighs the right amount for a quarter missing the clad layer. I’m curious about the damage to the edges.
Looks like a missing clad layer only on one side but that might be corrosion only one side could of been exposed if it were in the ground=damage
Yes I have those are more rare so my point was that if it looked like one it would most likely be a fake/copy,this is obviously damage.
Ment to put a period after have I don't have any he asked me if I have ever seen one and I said yes, plenty on ebay e.t.c
I doubt it, whatever you have seen on eBay are NOT missing clad layer on both sides. Those are listings by sellers who know nothing about errors! I think you don't even know what you are taking about. Dude you need to study what true missing clad layer errors are.
I didn't look i though they existed i know what a missing clad layer looks like i only look at certified examples/go over the details not some person just taking a picture of a coin that has obvious environmental damage on both/one side claiming its a missing clad layer/layers most uncertified examples aren't the real deal.
You didn't state the numerical weight. A better photo of the reverse and the edge would be easy to determine what you have.
I weighed it months ago so I wasn’t sure weight I weighed it months ago and forgot weight. I figured I would google how much should a quarter weight without clad layer. It brought me to an coin error reference page and the 1st thing on there is a bicentennial quarter missing the clad layer that looks just like mine. If you ge
