Best Reverse Eagle I have every seen. Still MS 64 due to Obverse scars.

PCGS originally graded this MS62 DMPL, in an older green holder. On a recent resubmission, this actually upgraded to an MS63+ DMPL. I thought it might be bit undergraded at 62, but was a bit surprised it got the plus due to the contact marks on the cheek. However, as @Mojavedave pointed out, the reverse is rather spotless and likely gave the coin that little bump.

62 thats awful low these deep mirror proofs get a higher grade then they should usually the grade for your coin sounds right.

was thinking of going with + but I thought they would be generous and give it a 64.

I was going to go with MS64 DMPL. But, I was bumping up due to the gorgeous reverse.

Do you have a closeup of the mintmark?

I think this is the best I can do with the given resolution of the photo --

Hmm. Hard to tell if that's an o/o. Not really seeing it though.

The mint mark looks similar to VAMs-13/34 but the surface in and around the bow does not match the listings. Could be the die was reworked at some point after this example was struck.
