In case you missed it gold hit $1901 and change last Friday! Is that a good thing for you? Well, it's definitely a good thing for me and I expect it to go up a bit more! What do you think? Is this the year it will hit $2300? If not, what is your guess?
While I don't follow metal prices, and only have a few gold coins, if it gets to $2300, I might just think about selling my gold coins. LOL
The other day when the new stimulus package was approved, just as a fluke I wanted to look at the national debt clock. Been a long time since I looked at it...... What struck me and something I hadn’t ever noticed before was the US dollar to gold ratio.... I knew we had been printing cash for some time now. But WOW.... Having seen that, yes I could see quite the upside to gold.
I don't consider myself a greedy person so, As long as it stays above $1800/ounce I've doubled my investment. Whereas my (few) 'Key' silver U.S. coin's values have not budged and therefore, due to the weakening buying potential of the dollar, have lost money. What Me Worry? J.T.
I'm hoping to see gold go up in a big way but I think that will take a year or two. Until then, gold with a strong price is plenty good for me!
I only have one my 1855 quarter eagle silver is on the rise also broke past $27 today could it rise to $30?
i like collecting but if I have a chance to make significant money I'll do it... Especially if it gives me a chances to buy more coins... Speaking of which I just got $100 from my grandfather I plan to spend on coins at the antique mall!
As an antique dealer I can definitely say that most antique dealers are to high on their coins so be careful.
Nah... there's a guy I love to buy from... he underprices his coins... plus I use the Red Book to make sure I'm not being ripped off.
The red book prices are high!! I use the grey sheet if I'm selling/buying and by recent ebay sales based on that specific coin.
FOR ME...... Gold is way to high now to PURCHASE. The premium to buy and sell outweigh the $2000 price point to even recoup your investment. But I am still looking.
