Why do 1oz Gold Buffalos cost more than 1oz Gold Eagles?

Yes, 1/10ths as well but only in 2008! Pricey as hell as well!

Ah bummer. Sounds like in that case it’s just better to get a 1/4 AGE.

I hate that fractional gold has such a high premium but sadly it always will.

Variety is good. I have AGE and Gold Buffalo. Next up will be a Gold Maple.

I stand corrected. However, I would say this makes it worst for smelters, having two impurities rather than one.

It all depends on end use. If for jewelry not a big deal. However, .999 is always more valuable since it takes more money to achieve this than lower purifies.

My rule of thumb in buying on secondary market, I will always choose the higher purity metal, assuming same price per ounce. It simply has higher value uses than lower purity items, hence more value in the future.

However, in life, usually things are not all equal, hence why I own all levels of purity of gold coins, I bought the best deal available.
