I like it but am a bit biased as I recently owned a few 1963 & 1964 Toned quarters. I call it a solid 4.3
Oh, yeah, I forgot there are a few other Washington quarters already in this thread. @ddddd: I really love and appreciate your work in keeping this thread running and up to date, but I was wondering if anyone was planning to create an index like you've been posting after every coin that's actually hyperlinked to the post with the coin image? I realize by suggesting this, I may have just volunteered myself to do it, but, if I do, I'd like to solicit a couple volunteers to help. With 110 coins, if even 4 people divide up the work, that would only be about 27 or 28 coins apiece, which is a much less daunting task than going through all 85 pages of this thread and linking every coin by myself.
I have just manually gone back when I wanted to see a prior round. Hyperlinking each sounds like a good idea. How would we go about splitting it up? Each person posts a portion and then someone combines it into one post? Edit: testing something out... Round 1
test 2...copying link from prior post Round 1 Edit: yep it looks like we could spread it out and then just paste it into one post (and then copy that over)
Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Let's do the work in a separate "working post," and then merge the hyperlinked coins into the master list as they're finished. As I mentioned, I'm willing to start taking this on, assuming a couple other people will step up and volunteer to help. Even with 2 other people helping me, that's 36-ish coins per person, which seems like a good sized project, but not too daunting.
I set up a thread in the testing forum https://www.cointalk.com/threads/linking-coins-for-monster-toned-thread.372228/ I will start with 1-20 you can pick up 21-40 and anyone else can help as well (please let us know so there is no overlap)
Sounds good! I can definitely deal with 20 coins in, say, no more than a day or 2. Even if it were just the 2 of us, if we stuck with it, we could easily have it done by New Years. With another 2 people, we could probably have it done by this weekend.
@brg5658 @SSG_Gonzo (and I'm extending the Quarter from @Paul M. considering we only have two scores for it so far)
@Morgandude11 you posted the same obverse with a different reverse in round 86. Also the color balance is different. Which is the true photo? https://www.cointalk.com/threads/the-monster-toned-coin-game-thread.363437/page-70#post-5133815
My mistake. Got my obverses and reverses mixed up from my backup drive. That is a 66 reverse Please delete this coin. The other is correct in round 86.
@Paul M. For people of the CT boards, after 1958, Mint Sets are packaged in plastic so it's much harder to find decently toned silver coins. I'm not going to add a numerical scale on the Washington here, but that is nice toning for the date/mm.
