i'm doing this more so as a different way of saving rather than trying to make money. (obviously i know that there are ups and downs in prices which i keep an eye on) I just don't want all my savings in one place.

certainly does! The people you have to deal with on a day to day basis really make you lose faith in humanity! I even had a customer threaten to call the police on me because our whole computer system went down and i couldn't print her reciept!

Garlicus Debt is dumb, cash is king.

Back in the day, I worked at one and had a homeless guy threaten to cut my throat, as I was just walking past him, so I proceeded to escort/wrestle him out of the store...into the arms of 2 cops that just happened to be outside, lol.

Another time, a guy walk in and proceeds to open Drano and drink it, lol.

Then there was the time a guy came in to rob the place and I told him to get the F out, since I was relatively sure that the ‘gun’ under a t-shirt was a small tubular bike pump. The store had been robbed a few night earlier, and upon review of the video tape, that is what I surmised. Glad I was right, and/or he had no ba...I mean guts. That was before getting my LTC.

That is but a few of the stories.

Your situation does not sound like one that is ripe for silver stacking.... the best thing you can do for yourself is save your money. It will cost you to convert dollars to silver. Unless you're buying under spot, I say avoid.

I would die! But yes these kind of crazy things happen in these places! not as crazy as yours, but had a guy come in and just throw the newspapers all over the place out of nowhere, a guy put some kind of gloves in the microwave and set them on fire, had to fill up a guys tank (we are self serve only) because he was practically blind and my manager said he couldn't do it himself. crazy times! Forgot to mention! I only worked there for 3 months...

You did mention in an earlier post that you had trouble with spending. I have long believed that silver is a wonderful place to “store” your cash. I started my silver stacking as a poor man many years ago. My logic was if I spent five dollars on silver then I would still have that five dollars and wouldn’t spend it otherwise.... Anyway, it was a successful step for me all those years ago. Lots of good advice above. Much better than mine actually, but stacking to store wealth isn’t a bad plan in my book.
