Not to me, premiums always matter. Collect generics if you want but I don't fully trust generic silver bars or coins at all, so I make it easy on myself and I don't buy them!
PUTTING EXCESS CASH INTO BIT COIN VIA PAYPAL..SILVER AND GOLD PREMIUMS WAY TOO HIGH FOR MY TASTE....still buying errors and deals on raw coins for when coin shows become available again to go reselling...
Premiums always have to be considered. If the ultimate goal is to sell at some point, one would be foolish to ignore what buyers in the future want. Is all of the buyers of coins versus bars or rounds simply stupid? Of course not, coins have always been easily to prove authenticity, as well as having the advantage of an actual coin. Coins have always been much more in demand, and such demand will be reflected in purchase price when you go to sell. Try taking an assortment of bars, rounds, and actual coins to dealers and ask buy prices. That buy spread is about the same as a buyer pays. I prefer to buy coins that are easier to verify they are silver than bars or rounds, which have no technical specs to compare against.
PM's tanking today. Could be a trend you never know. Glad I sold a fair amount of silver and gold the last 6 months.
Oh, I'm shaking in my boots! j/k A drop like that doesn't concern me in the least, in fact there was a similar drop not long ago, it happens!
