Beyond impressive. Inspiring. Makes me want to go for it! Look for a Dansco 7070 album but they are rare! Expensive on ebay and out of stock on the Dansco and Wizard sites.

I have both but there is only one spot in the album for the two cent coin.

Get the Intercept A-190 album, much better coverage, and they're in stock.

Better coverage? So there are more slots for more types? That's great!
Thanks, I'll take your advice :)

Have you had the Intercept in your hands and seen this issue? Has anyone had an issue with this? "Note that this album was manufactured with a hole for the Braided Hair Large Cent that is too small."

If you mean the draped bust, mine fits. I have a newer album, purchased it about 5 months ago.

Thanks. That's just a quote from Intercept so I'm not sure what they are talking about. Seems like if they fixed it they would have gotten rid of that quote!

Apparently they must have fixed it.

Awesome collection. I appreciate the effort and dedication as I am in the process of putting one together myself. Have quite a ways to go, and primarily am buying TPG coins. Does anyone have a suggestion how they can be displayed. The album in your collection is great, but I am not sure I want to break my coins out. I also love your information pieces about each coin, and hope to do that also.

Type set collectors: how do you choose what to buy in each type category? Do you go for the most affordable date and then try to get the highest quality?

Only expensive if you have to have one right now. I have four and one includes the slip cover. I use the nicest one with the slip cover for my nicest coins. Another holds my holed type set, Another holds my counter stamped type set. The worst one holds my collection of contemporary counterfeits. I didn't pay more than ten dollars for any of them. Bought at coin shops; coin club; coin shows and pawn shops. Be patient and keeo looking.

Eagle Albums used to offer pages that held slabs, but that gets expensive because they only held nine coins per page. I’m not sure what you can get from them these days.

If you can resist the temptation, I think that it’s better to leave most coins in the holder.
