One of my LCS have the official Royal Canadian Mint Pride of Two Nations Set (complete & COA) for $235.00, but also has each coin graded PF70 from PCGS (the label says "Canadian Set" on the last line) for $450.00. The owner does negotiate on his prices. I still collect silver when it comes to the "collectible" silver than stacking silver bullion.

My question is in your opinion is worth to get the actual RCM complete set or pay the higher premium on the graded coins set?

I can't advise anyone on what to do with their money. If it were me, and the coins in the set look as though they may possibly grade 69 and have no scratches or distracting marks, I'd buy the set. How many of us can tell the difference between a PF 69 and PF 70? I really go by the adage "Buy the coin and not the holder". :)

Personally, slabs don't make a difference to me at all and I don't collect Canadian anymore although I have quite a few Canadian coins in my collection already. American Silver Eagles coins normally all grade higher than a 68 either Proof or MS makes no difference, you will see very few grade lower than a 68. It's for that reason that I don't buy slabbed American Silver Eagles coins anymore. At one time I cared but I only stack, so I would only buy raw ASE's. As far as the set goes, if you want one go for it it's your money! btw, here's a set on the bay for less than $350 but it's your money. :D

Is it better to have a First Day Of Issue or First Strike label?

Neither. Both are marketing ploys by the TPG's.

The only way to know it was actually a Canadian set is if you get a graded one, people could have just put new coins in the packaging on the raw ones

The last 70 set I saw that sold on eBay went for $40, for $235 you should be able to get a graded 69 set so that would also be high for a raw set

First day usually costs more than first strike

That's a really good point. I wish the Canadian set had a privy mark or a Canadian mint mark so you know that the ASE and ML are the original Canadian versions.

My fault I meant $400 for the 70
