I've been on a bit of a spree lately, but I need to chill out soon.

Bought these two today. I've been wanting that thaler a while. Sometimes you get a CircCam with a hint of color, which is a nice little bonus.

Not sure if I've posted this one here before, and if not a perfect CirCam I think it's close.

Magnificent coin! I would love to be able to say I owned one just like it.

    That's a lovely 1847 dollar, @ksparrow.

Here is a gold CircCam I just won in a Spanish auction (Soler y Llach). I already have a half-escudo from a bit earlier, but like that coin, this one has the right orange-toned look I love on old gold.

This one here is well known since it's from such a pivotal date in history, just at the beginning of the Civil War.

1861-O half dollars were struck under US government authority at the New Orleans branch mint early in the year. Then, after Lousiana seceded from the Union, the same dies produced more coins under state control. Finally, after Louisiana joined the Confederacy, the remainder of the mintage was under Confederate authority.

I love a nice plate of history served with a side of CircCam contrast. :)

I recently bought this 1953 Australian shilling only because of its circ cam look on the obverse.

Neat. Not a type I’m accustomed to seeing with a CircCam appearance.

I'm very late to discover this thread, but seeing as it was started years before I found CoinTalk, maybe my absence is understandable.

These have been posted elsewhere, but they fit in perfectly with the subject matter.

I've had this brutalized Peace Dollar in a forgotten unloved coin tin for decades. It was just too ugly to let it out into the light of day. After joining CoinTalk and learning about acetone baths, I decided to get it out to see if it wouldn't benefit from a week at the spa - the chemical spa.

Well, after a month of soaking, there was zero improvement. I was almost ready to give up on this coin until I saw a couple of folks post photos of coins intentionally pocket carried to achieve this attractive CirCam circulated look.

I figured carrying this coin wouldn't hurt it any worse than it had already been damaged.

After a month of pocket carry, this is how this Peace Dollar looks today, along with it's sister pocket carry piece, a CirCam Morgan Dollar. A huge improvement on the Peace Dollar I think.

It's not all the way to where I would like it, but another month of carry and it should be there.

    Hello,

This is my first post. I have been enjoying the Community for the last two years - its a daily read.

CircCam bust coinage is my favorite, especially the large capped bust quarters. I recently had many of my coins photographed for me and loaded into DropBox.

I can now share a few of my favorites.

Beautiful coins, thanks for posting. Welcome to CT. I also think the Queen Victoria Pennies which are worn to a cameo appearance are beautiful.

I would guess mine would qualify even if it was caused by harsh cleaning rather then in circulation...

Those are remarkable bust quarters! It’s great to have more bust quarter collectors here on CoinTalk.
