Do you track the value of your PMS along with your cash and investments?

If you maintain any sort of excel of your assets and their value, do you input the changing value of your silver and gold. Or, do you track that separately? Or, do you not track it because you consider it a collection.

How do you handle it personally?

Nope; mine is still based on the gold value I purchased most of it at ($1242/oz).

In my spreadsheets I have a column for silver weight for each denomination. I then reference a fixed cell where I put the current price for silver. When I update that one cell it updates the whole workbook for the silver value of my collection.

I used to do all that. Kept the PM charts on my desktop and constantly updated spreadsheets. After a couple of years of all that I realized I was way too stressed to enjoy them. Not any more. I keep PM’s because they are an extension of my coin collecting and I want to enjoy them. I have enough stress in my office.

    Nope.
I have a general idea of what I paid.
It's more important to me that I buy it right and someone else later wants it more then I do.

Yes! I’m pretty tech fancy so I have it with the following sections
    -Product
    -Quantity
    -Cost
    -Silver Value
-Silver Value per coin (If item is in tube or set)
    -Silver Balance ( Value-Cost)
    Then for all items combined
    Total Expense
    Total Value
    Profit or Loss
I have one cell that is constantly updated every hour (ImportXML) of the spot price and it updates all related cells
    Works great!
