look at the coin you can see the edge reeding of the quarter. how the quarter looks like it's inserted into the Dollar coin https://www.ebay.com/itm/P-MINT-Sta...089638?hash=item23d37dc226:g:13AAAOSwHy5edUVo
Noooooo! I wanted to see how much it would of sold for! I took a look at the sellers other items. I don't think they are trying to decieve anyone. It is just ignorance on their part
Well, technically they are real coins. It's a magicians coin.... But most definitely fails or misleading advertising!
Uhgg.... I bit on the click-bait. And, seconds later realized that I am now gonna have to deal with eBay's mass email marketing campaign to see if i am "still interested in this item".
Back in the 70's my late father was a machinist and made hundreds of 2 headed or tailed coins along with cent obverses with dime reverses. Anyone with a bit of skill can create these. its a shame people are so gullible.
This has been going on for years and lots of them have been sold on Ebay. The dollar coins are milled out and a entire quarter is perfectly fitted into them. I suppose a lot of folks likes these to play around with but I don't have one and don't want one. I was on ebay for a few minutes a couple days ago and saw so much beat up junk on there I had to get off the error site. I love ebay for buying other things .
yep I saw that it was down I saved someone 70+ cash!!!! for a coin that should only be a few dollars at most
I hope he did a better job than the guy who did this one. It would be a much more convincing job if he had put the quarter in the lathe and removed the reeded edge, and then made the hole in the dollar slightly smaller so the quarter fit in tight and snug with no obvious gaping like this one has. They was one guy making these fantasies who did just that, got a nice tight fit and then did a light plating job on them to make them all the same color.
