It doesn't look like it matches up with 1994 D year

I see a plating blister that could make one think it looks like a P or a D on top of the D.

 

It's a D mintmark on a zinc Cent.

 

Do u guys ever tell someone they got something or is it always nope I don't see nothing cuz I been threw a lot of these post people post and its always the same nope u got nothing

 

I agree with @Clawcoins, I think it is a plating issue.

but, Zincolns are the worst composition for coin collectors who do not understand the ba-zillion type of things that can happen to them even if someone never touches it. Plus 99% of what people are asking of "errors" are actually damage.

Also, even though your first image is badly pixelated, you can still see the die deterioration on the 9s.

There have been a lot of times I have said yes. But the majority of the threads over the years have been no. Why? Because new coin collectors don't understand the true minting process and how real errors and varieties occur. Once you understand that then you will understand why we say no so much.

 

I tell what I see. Sometimes the op doesn't like what I see. Other times, they do. It all depends on your coin.

 

I’ve only been a member here since 2018 but have collected for years. I have regular coins, nothing real valuable but I haunt the Error forum often. Members here love to see my roll search finds. Even zincolns.

 

But I usually search nickels and dimes. Keep looking

 

It has been said that the ZLincolns after 1989 are incapable of being an RPM. They are how ever a good pick up for the single squeeze DDO's of today. The placing of the MM into each individual working die ended in 1989. This is a trusted and very informative site that I resort to on a regular basis. Bookmark it so that you have it for a reference.
