[QUOTE="Paddy54, post: 3896908, member: 19250"... What makes the dealers leave early isn't if the show is good or bad sales wise it's travel! ... a east coast show is extremely hard on west coast dealers. If you ever tried to book flights... [/QUOTE]

I understand the logistics. Many dealers travel from Europe, also. That being as it may, my understanding with the coin shows is that some dealers only transact wholesale with other dealers. That done, they leave. It is not that the show is unsuccessful, but that the dealers have other priorities. The ANA holds their feet to the fire (sometimes) on when to leave, but other conventions do not.

If there's no admission fee, it's less of an obligation. Our club charges $25 for a 1-day and $45 for 2 days, so if someone especially comes Sunday-only, we are there from 10-5 PM and don't want people packing up 12:30 or 1 PM.

Cool post! I traveled from Dayton Ohio for my 3rd consecutive Winter Expo and had a great time at the show. All of the Dealers I talked with (and I am focused on early American copper) had a good show with brisk business.

I am not a dealer but go to visit with many friends, browse the bourse and set-up an educational display at the EAC table- love to discuss counterfeit early copper!

I love the fossils , I'll occasionally take walks on rocky beaches looking for, or rather splitting shale and such to find sedementary impressions. I mostly find those little clam like shell things.
