    While I don't really like branding him as "useless", and he had at least one military victory against the Goths, he certainly didn't stick around long enough to do much one way or the other.

    The late Roger Bickford-Smith who taught me what I know about Eastern Severans had no interest in plated coins so he gave me this Caracalla fourree knowing that I did collect them. BONI EVENTVS

    In 2018 I received a copy of "Art in Coinage" by C.H.V Sutherland (first edition) and an absolutely cool & artistic token ca. 1835-1875 with classical imagery of Venus.
