In fact, it’s Sir James who inspired me for this thread when he showed blinding London Crispus coins in another topic. Thanks to all of you for sharing bloody awesome examples here.
    Cheers !

Thank you so much for creating this thread @Ocatarinetabellatchitchix and for the excellent lead in write-up. I meant to post this last night but I get tired and run out of gas these days and I forgot. Please accept my apologies.

Yes indeed @Alegandron. Even though my major collection of London Mint coins is now dis-assembled and sold off, I do retain a few coins that are dear to my heart and still maintain web pages (galleries) containing numerous photos.

Agreed, and with regard to the Fausta (PLON) Coin: I discovered that London Mint Fausta (and Helena) coins are rarely encountered and therefor only infrequently offered for sale. I was never able to find decent examples thus the ones in my RIC, volume VII gallery are of rather poor quality. So I also included Trier Mint examples from the Killingholme hoard (North Yorkshire), which I think are very nice, in order to illustrate the type. The Killingholme hoard was not very large, but it did include some exceptional contemporary issue coins from continental mints.

Great write-up, @Ocatarinetabellatchitchix, and wonderful coins, everyone!

Here are two humble London coins from my collection. Looking at the radiate and helmeted busts, I wonder about the significance of different diadems, crowns and headdresses on coins of the Constantinian dynasty. Maybe someone here knows more?

Rom – Constantinus II Junior, AE3, Beata Tranquilitas, London.png
Constantine II Iunior, Roman Empire, AE3, 322–323 AD, Londinium mint. Obv: CONSTANTINVS IVN N C, bust of Constantine II, radiate, cuirassed, l. Rev: BEAT TRANQLITAS, globe on altar inscribed VOT/IS/XX; above, three stars; in fields, F-B; in exergue, PLON. 19mm, 3.22g. Ref: RIC VII Londinium 257. Ex Tauler y Fau, auction 40, lot 2476.

Rom – Constantinus II Junior, AE3, Beata Tranquilitas, London, helmeted.png

Constantine II Iunior, Roman Empire, AE 3, 323–324 AD, London mint. Obv: CONSTANTINVS IVN NC; helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantinus Iunior l. Rev: BEAT TRANQLITAS; globe on altar with inscription VO/TIS/ XX; mintmark PLON. 19mm, 2.83g. Ref: RIC VII London 287.
