HELLO, I have norfed coins..i called ngc for grading norfed coins shipped from liberty..they recived them opennd and them on grading table then refused to grade and slipped into folds not returned to their capsules..im so dissapionted in the way they handled my rare coins. im looking for a grading service to help me with my poof coins uncirculated..i hope they have not reuined them.. also I am the first to recive my silver from dept. of justice from the lawsuit, all coins in box from doj with all paperwork unopened..i don't even know what I have . I would like to have graded by a company reputable with provonace of returned silver with my docket # on slab for verification. can someone help steer me in the right direction as I think they will be worth a lot in the future as they are very scarce I also have some that were never circulated 1/20 oz that are truly amazing I have all 3 types
Welcome to the forum Silver! Norfeds are not truly rare. Yes there are some that are difficult to find and some of the gold ones may be rare, but Bernard von NotHaus minted thousands upon thousands of silver Norfeds. My guess is you can call them rare if you wish but just go on ebay and you'll see collectors trying to sell theirs while they are still able. I forget which company grades them, but you can check with ANACS. good luck! https://www.cointalk.com/threads/the-collapse-of-norfed-premiums-on-ebay.218929/page-5
thank you and yes I have spoken to anacs..rare I mean hallmarked ,mine from liberty.and some never released.i got from the workers 3rd edition 1/20 mabey 2000 . but what do you think about the 1st ones the marshals service sent me being the first to recive the returned boullion with documation of court battle and my docket was #299 the first returned? ebay does not have these I speak of
thank you dadams im aware..and mabey this coinworld chat is where I should ask these questions.. just very excited its been 2 years nov.6 2017 when I recived mine back from the marshals service..and very eager to see what I have..and I also called the marshals service and requested specific pieces and hope they respected my whishes on types..hahaha
I would suggest you post some pics of your Norfeds as I know some of them were issued with privy marks and are considered rare. Hopefully you make a ton of money! You have any gold Norfeds?
THANKS..i will try, all have privy and some numbered.no gold unfortunately..hahah but yes I think presentation and story will make these desireable.
