Im guessing this coin is in a 65 holder. It looks over dipped and the obverse luster does not match the reverse so I would not pay more than 64 money for it.
I reckon it's a 63. Dipped out, chattery, pretty good luster, although the reverse pic makes the luster look flawed like an AU. Curious about this one...
Baggy especially the mark on the cheek. Dipped but still good luster. Not a coin I’d buy as I don’t like white coins. 63 my call
I'm going with MS64, I believe that the Mark's on the cheek keep it from 65. It might have been dipped, but it probably got a numerical grade.
Alright, time to wrap this one up. NGC and CAC called it 64, the CoinTalk average was 63.07, with 27 votes. It seems the group struggled a little bit with this one.
Keeping the streak alive! Not crazy about the coin, but I'm thinking the luster is much better than what we infer from these pictures. The photo setup is the same whether they're doing dimes or dollars, and the "size" of the light relative to the coin is much larger with a dime, which gives slightly more diffuse looking (i.e., "dipped-out" looking) luster compared with that on a dollar.
Dang it, I missed this one. My first thought was honestly "MS-NOPE!", but, ultimately I landed at 63.
It's not a coin I would buy based on the (lack of) toning - looks dipped as others said - but I can understand the grading level.
Even given the poor lighting set up which makes the coin look washed out, and dull, it still seems to me that it's a stretch to call this a 64. I know NGC, and CAC don't agree with this. Perhaps in hand it may change some opinions ??? But hey, I'm not too familiar with Barber coinage, (Not my cup of tea) and only a casual collector. Who's learning, while not losing money doing it.
Sharp looking coin. I say MS64 due to what look like pretty significant marks on Liberty’s cheek and chin. As well as a large mark between UNITED and STATES.
