This Satin finish 2005 P from a US Mint Set looks like it has a dot behind Lincolns head. It looks like the die had some damage by a pointed article pushing in. I tried to get die chip out of it but it looks more like a puncture in the field.
You sure it isn't a plating blister? Looks to have some plating issues on the top and bottom parts of the obverse and the top of the reverse.
Well now that is quite possible and I should know better. Let me look closer. Thanks for the feedback.
You could try pressing on it with a toothpick. If it moves/pops, it's a plating blister. I don't "think" that bit of pressure, if applied properly, would damage the coin if it weren't a blister. I really think it is a blister.
Here is the same shot after some pressure from a tooth pick. It looks to have changed some and, perhaps, it reduced and a small blister formed to the right and left. What are your observations?
