Cool, thanks for that. I think they are foam strips that you can fit around your coin inside the capsule, I think you have posted them before but I might be wrong. If not I wonder if airtite inserts will fit in lighthouse capsules.....
I believe that you will find that many parts of the world use a different name for acetone. ?Xylene? may be what they use. My memory isn't as sharp as it used to be. That may be why OP said that he couldn't find any for sale in China.
Is acetone for all coins except Copper and silver coins and if its used wouldn't that be classed as a cleaned coin ?
I recommend that you do not use acetone on copper, use xylene on copper. But acetone is perfectly fine on ALL other coins. You'll find instructions in here about how to use it properly - https://www.cointalk.com/threads/proper-acetone-procedure.193708/ As for your question about "cleaned", well, you first have to understand what that term really means. Ya see, there is "cleaned", and then there is "harshly cleaned". Cleaned is good, harshly cleaned is bad. You can say it a hundred different ways but that's the bottom line. The problem is this. When most people say cleaned in the course of normal conversation, what they really mean to say is harshly cleaned. In other words they use the terms incorrectly. There are 4 things that you can use to properly clean a coin - without doing any harm to the coin. They are, distilled water, acetone, xylene, and coin dip. And it doesn't matter which of these you use, none of them will be considered as harsh cleaning IF you use them properly ! But if you use them improperly, that can change.
