This is almost a backwards and forwards but the 0 is in there so I was wondering if that breaks it up. Trying to learn thanks for any help. I have read the sites about serial numbers just get a little confused. I'm finally getting the coins though...
On first glance, the eye can trick you into thinking it's unique, but unfortunately it's not (as several members have already noted). If a $1 note seems special to you (like a birthday note or some other important date), keep it! I saw the $50, & it's a spender (you have to be real careful tying up $50 & above unless it really is something). Keep up the search...& remember, with notes, condition is extremely important!
Finding an almost radar... happened to me before. The tough part is to decide keeping or spending it. My collecting bug eventually bit me. Ended up spending the ‘almost’, and purchased a real radar from dealer.
You forgot to mention that it's the type that's worth $1 @RLGluvcoins There are only a few serial number combinations that carry any premium and most of those are only for notes in crisp UNC condition.
Well, there's the "0", & then 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9: so 10 total. You're probably thinking only 8 digits in the SN?!
@RLGluvcoins keep looking. Keep asking. Keep your positive attitude. None of the above costs anything.
Not nine! I said "other nine." Read the entire post. When you read the entire posts and keep them in context it takes on the correct meaning, not a partial meaning when you delete words." And I'm not referring to the serial number. I'm responding to the OP's comment. It's all part of the learning curve.
