Took the day off today and went out and bought "$1000" (which turned out to be $900...but that's another story) in CWR all bagged up and ready to deliver to Loomis today. Came home and pulled out another American Memorial "W" quarter and then this came out.
I did a quick google search and found @dcarr 's moonlight mint website and saw that he designed it and it was minted by National Collector's Mint. To make it even cooler, it is the 0.999 Silver version!
I love Daniel Carr's designs but unfortunately they are out of my price range. :( Glad I was able to find an affordable example for 25 cents :)

I am thinking some child found an adults collection and used it for candy money.

It definitely has been circulating around for a bit I think. I was hoping there would be more in some of the other rolls but no luck.

I've always wanted to own a Daniel Carr piece and I'm just super excited to finally own one. The fact that I found it CRH'ing is icing on the cake.

Some yahoo on YT tried to use this coin as proof of the mandela effect. I can't find the video to link, but you'd be surprised how many believed it. I left a comment telling him it came from the National Collectors Mint and quit trolling. Ha...

Proof that Carr's round pieces of metal can pass as real coins. Is he a counter fitter lol? o_O

I know ya'll hate YT videos but I found it. Listen to what this guy says! Oh boy! I'd love to know what Dan Carr thinks. It'd be great if he commented on said video!! LOL To spare you time go right to about 6 and 34 seconds minutes in.. He pulls out the "Mandela Effected" quarter.

I just noticed on our vids date is 2008.. Either way, I did see a vid with Dans coin in it, the 2004 one. I'm havin trouble locating it. Maybe it was taken down.

Nice find. There is an old thread about the issue. I still have 6 from a roll of 40 bought years ago. IMG_0048.JPG

I'll tell him you found one of his quarters in circulation. He goes to the Denver Coin Club which I am a member of too. I also see him at the local coin circuit shows in Colorado. Good guy.

    Awesome find.
I have one that has a ribbed edge and is silver clad copper. I found info that said these are/were sold at gift shops in Washington DC.

That’d be cool. I tagged him in my original post but I’m not sure how often he frequents the forum.
