I would call it a Rim Cud not a Collar Cud.

Yes, it's a nice example of a
bit-longer-than-average rim cud.

 

I saw the title and wondered what is a collar cud. I've look and I knew it was a rim cud. The collar is part of the minting process that creates the rim. You have a nice rim cud as previously stated.

This is a Collar Cud or Collar Die Break
You can't see it to well in the slav picture but they do attribute it..

Fred beat me to it, yes, a rim cud not a collar break.

 

It looks like a retained cud to me.

 

it's just a simple break, Rim Cud.. Nothing else.

Paddy, thanks for showing and explaining a collar cud. I've never heard that term but I'm familiar with a collar die break.
