Ex-CNG eAuction 435, Lot 447. Graded exactly as expected. CNG photo looks better than the TrueView.

Ex-Reigate Hoard & @Paddy54. Graded higher than expected.

Ex-Nomisma Spa, San Marino, eAuction 9, Lot 592. Graded as expected.

Ex-1682 Johanna shipwreck & @Paddy54. One coin I'm OK with a "details" grade on, since it is a sea-salvaged shipwreck piece, after all. And they put that info on the label.

Ex- Künker am Dom- I was worried it had been wiped and would get a "details" grade for old cleaning but it straight-graded at AU50, to my delight.

Ex- Münzenhandlung Dirk Löbbers- the first 70-grade I've made.

Ex- @Mark Metzger- now the finest known.

Ex- @Mark Metzger- now the second-finest known (these are the only two graded).

Ex- @Aethelred-sourced bulk bag- exactly how I thought it would grade.

Ex- @spirityoda. Coin cost me nothing, so I'm just in it for the grading fees. Sent it in because... well... just because. Cool design.

Some nice coins there! Didn't need a TPG to tell me that ;)
I especially like #2 and the 10 Euro.

Lots of pop. 1/0 stuff here! Ain't so hard to achieve the top of the population when you're the only person who's sent one in! :hilarious:

Some very awesome coins here. I'm glad the grades pretty much came back as hoped and even a touch better. :)

Two pieces did not grade as they were apparently ineligible types, but I expect I'll be getting credits on those. And I had a grand total of seven bucks invested in the pair. One was a gift and the other a cheapo.

I meant to ask about those two slots.

The first no-grade was a medieval Vietnamese cash coin that I just liked the look of.

The second was this medal, which had been a surprise gift from @coin_nut.

Some may ask "why?" regarding a couple of those, but really this is the spirit of the hobby :)

So happy the two Esperanto pieces worked out so well. MS66 is fantastic!

Indeed. I asked "why?" on a couple myself, and I'm the one who did it!

Take the Tanzanian coin, for example.

By the catalog value, that's a $2.50 coin I just spent $40-45+ to slab. Some of my rationale for that is covered here.

It is largely a sentimental thing, really.

And since nobody is likely to be submitting many of those in the foreseeable future, it is likely to remain pop. 1/0 for a long time.

I don't believe any of these were issued in proof or mint sets (if so, I haven't heard of that), and amongst the (few?) surviving Mint State coins left out there, this one probably stacks up pretty well.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. I went back to look at the groat several times. It's a winner. Great portrait.

Here's my Edward III Groat. Not as nice as @lordmarcovan but fun for means of comparison. I'd put mine at VF25 or 30 given the others XF45
