Gold: Pre 1933 Vs AGE

I do, but you'll have a hard time recovering a numismatic premium on a piece of ungraded pre33 gold that you bought from an online bullion website.

So that's why I think you should buy an AGE or a very low premium piece of pre33 US gold.

I prefer the pre-33 gold for two reasons. I am a numismatist first and a minor league stacker second. But I also feel the market has been soft lately for numismatic gold. In fact today there is some numismatic gold in the sale section I been thinking hard about and it is listed at spot. Can’t go wrong on a deal like that. And it comes with the history of being true legal tender. Pre-33 gold at spot cost is absolutely out there. I bump into it far more than my wife would like me to..

 

Maybe, I going to find out soon...….though.. on their introductory offer..

 

Besides the pre-1933 USA gold, I also like the non-USA numismatic items such as the French Rooster, the Swiss Helvetica, the Mexico 2, 2.5, 5, 10, 20 and 50 pesos, etc. These can almost always be found hovering just above spot on the sites listed here already. Especially for those with limited funds, these provide a good way to get some gold together.

 

Bullion is Bullion, be pre 1933 or AGE, you will pay way more in premium

You also have to look at your purpose as well, for investing purposes
Would for sure go AGE, for me its the Krugerrand which is the
Most popular Gold coin in the world

 

I also Like the queens beast series as well.

I would buy a Pre33 MS 63 $20 over an MS 70 ASE.

My next purchase is going to be an old Mexican $50 MS 64

 

All depends on where you get them, i have seen some really good deals of late

Best deals for your situation and liking, if you go Saint or liberty you will most
Likely want to get them graded, which for me isnt in the cards, i do have over
A thousand MPC,S that are graded but that a whole new conversation.
