I see you have mentioned this coin several times in different posts. Glad you finally made your own. Ponca City, eh, as a chemist, I had several people I knew to go there to work. Looking at your coin, I notice that the lettering is close to the edge, or that the edge is close to the lettering. That is one of the hallmarks of a dryer coin. Also the smooth appearance of the coin would lead us to believe that this has been worn away either by abrasion or chemically. Is it more the size of a dime as you seem to have said earlier? How much does it weigh? Perhaps @Fred Weinberg will show up and give his opinion. Do you collect other things? BTW, "messed up" is better than what you said.
Sorry but it is a damaged coin, not an error. Regardless if its a dryer coin or something else, this could not have happened at the mint
