The World Cup coin seemed questionable to me too and there were no other images. I wanted to win it and see what it looked like, but the price was more than I wanted to go just to get a better look.

In another thread, we saw some doubt about the color of this Franklin. So let's make it the next official entry.

I use a cabinet (actually a secretary's desk) that I converted. To store the purchases that do not fit into any collection, or possibly the coin that needs to get a skin on it.
The toning looks weird in my opinion,

It is obviously MA. Because of the price it sold, I just have my doubts that it is not something that should be called QC.

I think the color is legit. Probably from a cardboard mint set

FROM THE IMAGED COLORS, AT all the way on the obverse of the Franklin. The reverse looks legit.

IF, and that's a BIG IF, I saw those colors on a 1958-D I MIGHT accept them (although I've seen a LOT of AT'ed stuff like that lately). 1956 Franklins do NOT tone like that naturally. Someone has been cranking those out and the TPG's are accepting them.

NT. Lately I've seen some Franklins with the same kind of toning go for big bucks on some auctions.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I agree that this is highly unusual for a 56. But I don't see anything that raises red flags - if that is AT, it is some of the most convincing I've ever seen. Everything looks right except the date!

I'm going to go MA on this one.

I agree with Jason, the toning is very unusual for a 56 but the indicators all point to NT. If that coin is AT, it has achieved the pinnacle of artificial toning in that it is indiscernible from NT.

Morgandude11 As long as it's Silver, I'm listening

NT/ MA. Gorgeous coin. I don’t see how it could be AT.
