Don't know the series but looks non-MA to my eyes. If that's actually what it looks like, I'd run from it.

Only PCGS and NGC? They both would bag this beauty!

I'd give yours and NT. PCGS gave the OK to mine.

NT/MA They usually just take a hit grade wise.

Natural, I don't consider it toning as we are really seeing copper streaks, and why wouldn't the other services slab it? I have seen countless improperly mixed alloy buffalo nickels in straight graded holders.

Sorry for potential hijacking, but I have a 1955-S with almost identical look. The streaking is heaviest on the obverse and the reverse shows hardly anything. Makes me wonder if yours and mine were punched from the same strip of metal? They yellow is what really grabbed my eye.

All are marvelous and I have no doubt NT. If they’re not MA, I would take ‘em.
I don’t see a lot of discussion about how the precise alloy mix affects toning. Yet here we can see that identical conditions only a millimeter apart have different effects. Yes, I think there are copper streaks, but the zones of different alloy are also toned, and toned differently.

The green is FLUORESCENT green, it's really bright like a neon sign. Based on my personal experience with NGC and PCGS slabbed, business-strike Lincolns, I don't believe they would slab it because it doesn't meet their "look standards". If you can find a biz strike in a slab with that green toning, please post it. I'd like to see it. :cigar:

    Thank you for the answer!
I'm not really seeing neon green, but it's probably difficult to show in a photo (the Lincoln looks like a regular woodie to me).

And I've seen many others. This issue is also known for delamination along the surfaces and various working die issues. Quite obvious that San Fran had a problem with their planchets.

Perhaps you can see it better in this picture. Not the same coin but the color is identical. I found two of these in an OBW roll I cracked:

It's too bad PCGS nuked Coin Facts. I seem to recall seeing some.
