Oh, their advertisement showed on my Facebook page too. They must have done a heavy marketing campaign.
What's Facebook? Anywho, I got my tracking number today, my 10- 1/10th oz AGEs will be here Monday. $110 each. (rubbing my hands together) "Excellent!"
Apparently, they ask you "What price did you see?" and trust your answer. I placed my order online and had the price set, when my friend simply called, they asked him that question. They told him that he could also get another 10 at that price, if he fell for their upsell and bought something else at an inflated price.
I got an advert in a package. When I called, they asked me for the price on the flyer and the key code.
You can tell them to take you off their calling list. If they call again, tell them you are recording and logging any and all calls they make and will contact their state's attorney general if they call again. They will stop. I know what you mean though, today I ordered 10 1/10th oz. gold eagles ($126 each delivered) and as soon as he had my info we were off to the races with the "premium graded and signed special edition" coins. It took me telling him "no" about 4 times. I left things pleasant for now because I want to see if I get those coins, as spot today is over $1291/oz. I'm willing to tell them no a few times to purchase under spot. I asked him how they could sell under spot and he said they purchased these long ago.
Hello. Has anyone who believes he actually received the 1/10 oz coin had it assayed? Did you try to find out if it is fake? Thanks in advance.
I purchased 10 $5 eagles. I knew when I called that the ad was a "teaser" so I expected them to try to up sell. I held fast, just got my coins delivered. I know they'll be calling but that's why I have caller ID. I'm happy, I got gold coins below market and they were delivered as and when promised.
Can I answer the phone and pretend to be my mother and say "he is dead, please no more calls" Will this get me off their calling list?
Raising this thread from the dead... I just found Nationwide Coins & Bullion via this link...https://findcoinonline.com/deals?category=gold-at-spot I just placed an order for 3 1/10oz AGEs at $139 each. Still a decent deal. For those who can't do math, that's $1390/oz and today's spot is at $1406 so I'm happy with the price. The sales guy did try to sell me 10 of them, because "that's what everyone is ordering", but when I told him that 3 was all my budget would allow, the upsale stopped immediately and he took my order. I requested to pay by check, since the website advised there would be a 5% service charge for credit card. When he called, he said it would be faster to pay via CC and that he would waive the 5% service charge. I'm not a fan of their process, as I'd prefer to just order online and mail them a check, but for a one-time thing, OK, I'll jump thru their hoops. Of course, I didn't search this site for any threads on them until AFTER I'd placed the order. Kinda got that backwards, should probably check them out before I ordered. Also reviewed the BBB website for complaints and it looks like there haven't been any complaints for over a year, so maybe they've cleaned up their act a little. He said 10-15 days for delivery via FedEx, so we'll see....
Many CT users have bought the ten 1/10 oz gold coin deal from Nationwide w/o difficulty. I bought ten @ $115.00 each.
Somebody mentioned this thread in another one. Just responded to them again for a one ounce AGE for $1,700...now let's see what happens. Anyone want to give it a try, the mailer had key code IM-2309 at phone number 1-800-203-6357 and they're supposed to throw in an NGC MS70 ASE!
Nope. After a few phone calls I requested them to remove me from their call list. They did. About every quarter they mail me a nice glossy catalog.
