Hey ancient dudes. A question. I know the one on the right is modern made obviously but any idea what it is? And the grey one on the left, is that a fake? Thanks...

The uniface coin is just some type of fantasy.

The silver coin, if real (and I doubt it is; it looks cast), is a shekel of the first Jewish war. Some examples in CNG's archives.

Thanks guys. The grey one doesn't feel heavy enough for the size to be silver. I was pretty sure it was a fake but what do I know about ancients :p

Stick around here long enough and you might learn. I've been here for several years now, and everyone here says I'm close to learning something.

Your all wrong there both fake ,the one on the right is a token used by a bank in for promotions. Although it dose have value over a period of time. It is considered a no# 20 token. Also Telemachus was the son of Odysseus and Penelope whos father fought in the trojan war. And the real coin would have been in Greek not english. Google Telemachus token coin . They also sell them on e bay for 3.50 up to 10.00 ck it out. hope that cleared that up. Madman Mike

    Welcome to CT @Madman Mike

I don't really understand your post however. The consensus was that they're both fake.

Cascade, Your Jewish war shekel looks like a counterfeit, hopefully it didn't cost you too much. All the 1st Revolt shekels have been heavily counterfeited & it's a good idea to send them to a 3rd party grading company. Below are photos of a year 3 shekel I sold 6 years ago at a Heritage auction for $6,900.00, weight 13.59 gm, 21 mm, 12h. Robert Deutsch authored the most detailed study of 1st Revolt silver coinage in 2017, & if these coins interest you I suggest getting a copy of his book.
