Well we have no idea what the coin actually looks like with the saturation set to 200%.

The proof clad quarter looks cooked to me.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I think a QT response should fall on the AT side of the spectrum, and a MA response should fall on the NT side. Realistically, there are many more shades of grey than black and white, but for voting and simplicity purposes it should fall into those two categories.

I know and that is how it's been handled so far; my issue was the post(s) that said the coin was both QT and MA (depending on the photo). Those I will not count since it's two opposing sides.

Looks like the 1974 quarter was our closest battle yet! My thoughts were QC. Even if it was MA, the market did not like it. I bought it under $10 and had it sitting around until I included at cost as part of a lot that I sold.

If anyone has something to post go ahead; otherwise I'll find something else.

*Remember Morgans and ASEs earn no points here*

I think the obverse is ok while the reverse makes me question it a bit. Natural or not, the reverse lowers the eye appeal and likely would have me pass on the coin.

    I'll say it's MA

I'll go with NT/MA on the Morgan.

The 1885-O Morgan looks natural to these eyes.

Interesting. Trying to figure out what the coin was sitting on or was on the coin to block toning. Did someone gas an already NT coin?! Did someone grab it with coin dip on their thumb? Looking forward to hearing the story! I am AT on this one due to the clean spot on the reverse.

You mean like another coin leaning against it even if only partially?

NT to me. Pattern is a bit unusual, but not out of bounds.

Yes, that was my first assumption but it was not another Morgan, the radius is wrong and the transition too crisp for a leaner isn't it? Maybe a quarter or nickel but who knows.
