In my "stack" I have Silver Eagles, Maples, Britannias, Philharmonics, Kangaroos, Funnel Web Spiders, and some different varieties of each. I am interested in adding 1 of some other government-minted, 1 ounce coins. I do not currently have, but am looking at: Chinese Pandas SA Silver Krugerrand Australian Kookaburra Mexican Libertad But, I am not interested in paying more than $2 over spot. MAYBE $2.50 over spot. So, that kind of limits me to considering a Silver Krugerrand. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Or, does anyone know of a website now offering any great specials on interesting varieties of these coins (such as the Superman Maple Leaf) or anything else that meets the 1 oz, government-minted variety?
I don't know about recommendations but I agree with your no list. Pandas are too high of premium for stacking
I love Libertads. I have ASE, Maple Leaves, Libertads, Philharmonics, Somali Elephants, and Britanias.
Libertads would definitely complete your North America trifecta. Time will tell, seems like the '18 bullion Krugerrands will fit in. Priced in low $18s now on a roll of 25.
I would like recommendations for any 1 oz silver bullion coin under $18.50. Whatever gets the most recommendations will be my next purchase.
I have every Kookaburra back to the first issue and the previous issues' values seem to keep rising beyond their silver price. Every time I see an oldie for sale I say "I'm glad I already have those!" So, I would recommend Kookaburras, but I'm just biased because they have an awesome laugh.
Gainsville Coins has Eagles on sale. Plenty of Maples available in your price range. Or, go for some '18 Krugerrands.
Decided on the silver Krugerrand after silver dropped more. Picked one up for under $18, about $17.95. I think the others on my list are unlikely to ever be under $18.50 unless silver drops A LOT more.
