    Seems like it was over-exposed in the seller pics for sure. I think Eduard's photos show a much more wholesome coin. Killer variety and I bet in hand it looks fantastic. Well done!

    I figured the coin was more brown than the first images. That was just the lighting used. I don't think it was cleaned or that little hit on the rim matters. I feel it would straight grade at 55 or 58. Nice coin.

    Can the verdigris straight grade or would it need to be removed first?

    Thanks all for your comments.
    The coin was not a cherry-pick and at $300 certainly not a bargain either.
    All in all I think it is a nice example of this interesting and popular type, and will definitely keep it.

    Not knowing much about Indian Head Penny's value, but isn't $300. about $299.99 overpriced ???
