    Hi all,
This coin was submitted to NGC and was a disappointment for me.
It received a AU Details Grade :(
    CLEANED
One of my smallest Foreign Coins

    Enjoy :woot:... or not :hurting:

That is a shame. I’ve got an 1843 graded AU55. It’s amazing how detailed they made such tiny coins.

I picked up this one a week or so ago at a local auction. Not as good as the above, but definitely not cleaned!

The holder is wrong. It should read 1 1/2 d.
The use of p for pence only relates to decimal new pence introduced in 1970.

I'd say that you're lucky it came up AU Details. I would put it at like VF for the Obverse and XF for the Reverse. It does appear that its been cleaned, with the marks on the Obverse.

Just to compare, here's the NGC pic of the Coin, which I assume to be MS-60. I just don't see yours as AU compared to this one:

I had one of these on my old Holey Coin Vest.

After somebody put a hole in one, there wasn't much coin left!

FYI... I just realized that comment was really for the second one posted... In my scatterbrain, I was looking at that rather than the one that is Slabbed! Sorry about that!!! I must have been thinking they were the same coin! OOPS! My apologies.
