Thanks to everyone who's participated! This has been a great thread ! Some superb coins out there...

I'm going to make a REALLY difficult decision here and give a first, second and third choice based purely on MY perception of beauty...

    3rd...@severusAlexander....Sabina (Nice neck)

    2nd..@Romancollector.....plautilla (exotic Eastern)

    1st.. @Ancient Joe...Faustina junior (She was a beauty!)

Anyone else want to put up their top three?

Interestingly I read that in general the Roman noble women had their hair cut short or even shaved ,covered by a skull cap skull cap, this allowed them to use different styles of wigs sometimes changing their appearance 3 or 4 times a day!?

Thanks again to all, show us your top 3!

Not every empress would have win a beauty contest if we consider their portraits on coins. However some engravers succeeded at capturing some artistic expression

Very nice; I'm convinced that particular portrait style was modeled after this exact statue in the Capitoline Museum in Rome:

@b v c x z....Thanks for posting and welcome to th forum...I'm new here too.

I'm no expert by far! But your coins don't seem to be ???...Where did you get them from??
Maybe some of the experts here will shut me up or maybe it's just the photos but they seem soft??? But again I stress I'm no expert and have been wrong many times..Maybe you can start a new thread and see what they say?
@RAGNAROK Thanks for the link REALLY interesting;)
@Roman Collector Thats a beautiful portrait!
